University President Delivers Successes and Maps Plans for ESSU

The 3rd Eastern Samar State University President, Dr. Andres C. Pagatpatan, Jr., delivered his 3rd State of the University Address yesterday, February 5, 2024, at the ESSU Maydolong Campus.
 
In his address, Dr. Pagatpatan highlighted the significant achievements and milestones that the University had accomplished over the past year as a unified institution. These include the areas of administration, instruction, research and extension, quality assurance, internationalization, and production.
 
Looking ahead, Dr. Pagatpatan set forth plans to enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and implement effective procedures to position itself as one of the leading institutions in the region. Among the plans is to improve the University's facilities and infrastructure as ESSU gears up to become a SMART campus that aims to empower the University and foster a culture of digital excellence. Dr. Pagatpatan also emphasized expanding ESSU's curricular offerings, including the establishment of the College of Medicine, and further strengthening its mission to provide quality education responsive to global and national needs. Additionally, he highlighted the need to continue to strive for excellence and work towards achieving a 100% CHED Certificate of Program Compliance in all academic programs at the University by this year, 2024.
 
Distinguished guests delivered congratulatory messages, including Hon. Marcelino C. Libanan, Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, represented by Ms. Marian June Libanan, Hon. Ben P. Evardone, Eastern Samar Provincial Governor, represented by Hon. Christelle Yadao, and Hon. Godofredo T. Garado, Municipal Mayor of Maydolong.
 
Overall, Dr. Pagatpatan conveyed a message of progress filled with tremendous optimism that the future of Eastern Samar State University will be better.

We are confident that we, as a family and a community, can work together to make this University a better place for all of us and our stakeholders. A place where we can dream and successfully bridge our vision and action."
