BOR approves Instructional Material Procedural Guidelines

At the collegiate level, the Review Committee will evaluate the proposal according to strength, subject area emphasis, instructional strategies, and student learner needs. The material will be tested for one (1) semester which is a try-out phase after which it will be evaluated from the recommendations and feedbacks from the students. Revisions can be made based on the feedbacks gathered. Once approved by the Committee it will be elevated to the Institutional IM Review Council for further review and to ascertain its completeness.

The Instructional Material can be in a form of a textbook, laboratory manual, teaching module, or other compiled or original works which are prescribed by the college or department. The author must be a faculty member of the college and must have taught the subject of which he/she aimed to write.

An incentive or award can be given to the proponent/s of the instructional material approved by the IMRC. Recognizing and rewarding proponents individually or in group for their suggestions, inventions, superior accomplishments and other personal efforts for the invention and/or contribution stated, designed to effect economy in operation, increase production, improve working conditions or service, or benefit to the University. The basis of the foregoing award is taken from the Faculty Manual of 2007.
